Another possible cause is fiction, the material of the face mask keeps rubbing your skin which leads to irritation. 

Keeping your skin hydrated (to reduce friction caused by face mask) and not to use noncomedogenic product will help prevent maskne. This Anti-Maskne Serum contains high concentration of hyaluronic acid which keeps skin deeply hydrated, active ingredient Alpha-Bisabolol Natural (Naturally extracted from German Calendula) that is antibacterial, anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory, and calendula extract that soothes skin
